no microwave in entire hotel, door lock didn’t work (died and had to be given a new room..), parking is extremely confusing, and side table charging outlets didn’t work. overall an overpriced hotel, also they offer you fiji water in room! if you pay $7….

The Office Manager was superb, a touch of class and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make my stay perfect. I'd return to the hotel JUST BECAUSE of the service.Everyone we dealt with was wonderful and welcoming. Great hotel, wonderful service, thank you all!!!

We spent one night at Avalon, the lobby and bar area are beautiful and impressive as intended. The rest of the hotel was ok. Checks the box for most things. The front desk is hidden away and discreet. I sorta miss the big welcome front desks, not sure why front desks are given such a low profile. My son enjoyed the free pecan cookie and fruit water urns by the elevator. Room service button on the phone takes you to the front desk rather than the restaurant, but once ordered service was prompt. The breakfast avocado toast had a brown purée of avocado instead of fresh slices, it was over seasoned and we didn’t eat it. The southern breakfast was perfect: amazing fluffy and buttery scrambled eggs, delicious cheesy grits and crisp bacon. A biscuit would have been nice, but otherwise well executed. They do things well enough but not memorably.

10 out of 10 I highly recommend. This was one of the best experiences I've encountered in a very long time. The staff was friendly and polite.. ready and willing to assist. Big KUDOS to the Manager Ms. Edith! She really made sure this stay was FABULOUS for the special 50th Birthday occasion. I enjoyed everything about this hotel and the restaurants.

This hotel is lovely, nice library lobby with beautiful lighting. The vibe is nice and the Starbucks is much appreciated. The room was much smaller than expected, even with a corner king suite. The bed was firm but the sheets were coarse and scratchy, did not enjoy the thin duvet. Overall the bedding felt cheap, which was very unexpected at this price point. Still, lovely property overall and close to so many upscale shops and dining. Still recommend.

The worst experience.
I travel for work a lot. This might have been the worst stay ever. There was a huge dance competition going on at the hotel. There are 3 elevators. Im assuming the hotel was full bc of all the people...only 1 elevator was working. There was a long line of people waiting to use this one elevator all night. I chose to leave the hotel to grab some food. I had self parking, my key fob didnt work. I had to walk back through all the people, from the garage in the cold to get my keys to work to get out of the garage. This happened 3 TIMES, my key fob didnt work to get out of the garage. I get back from getting my food. Now none of the elevators are working. I had to walk up 9 flights of stairs. I workout 5 days a week so i wasnt really bothered. What really bothered me was there was a lady walking up to the 9th floor with me that was 70yrs old. I definitely will not be staying here ever again.

This hotel was one of the nicest hotel, I’ve ever stayed at, Great customer service, room was nice and clean, hotel lobby area was very nice. I would definitely stay here again. I travel a lot and stay at only 4 or 5 star hotels, this one was perfect!!!!!

We loved this hotel! We were visiting family in the area for Christmas and there was a wonderful mood everywhere. There was a nice big fireplace downstairs with comfortable furnishings downstairs where everybody gathered to have coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. Part of the hotel's restaurant opened to the gathering area which added to the "bustling" vibe. The room was comfortable and nicely appointed. The hotel is also dog friendly which was a plus for us. Conveniently located at Avalon, there is plenty to keep you busy during your stay. We look forward to returning in the future!
