Close quarters living—multiple rentals on property
First off these shed-like dwellings made into rented living space are rather deceiving. There are 7 dwellings and they make up something called Fiddlestix village which we thought was a town but it’s not. They are all together on the same property in very close proximity to each other. It takes about a minute or less to walk to each one of these 7 rental structures. I just would have liked to know that our place is connected and touches another dwelling where their roofs are connected and they are basically a stones throw away from each other. There is a caboose, general store, salt and pepper shaker and 4 other dwellings right next to each other. Where are the pictures showing this???. I, personally, was absolutely NOT looking for this but there were no pictures of the property from a distance—so yes that is deceiving when choosing a property to rent. I would have NEVER booked this because I don’t want to stay in a community dwelling. It was like I was at a campsite. All of those buildings had to share a fire pit. The buildings were in need of upkeep as well. Also when you first walked into the salt and pepper building the floor was noticeably soft and will soon be in need of repair. I also would not have stayed knowing the well water is the kind that smells like rotten eggs. Our well does not have that odor and I would have preferred not to stay here. I know some reviewers liked it here but we could not wait to leave. The grills were not clean and we could not use them as well. I should have called about it but the water in the kitchen only got hot for not even a minute making it very difficult to wash the dishes.
