Close quarters living—multiple rentals on property
First off these shed-like dwellings made into rented living space are rather deceiving. There are 7 dwellings and they make up something called Fiddlestix village which we thought was a town but it’s not. They are all together on the same property in very close proximity to each other. It takes about a minute or less to walk to each one of these 7 rental structures. I just would have liked to know that our place is connected and touches another dwelling where their roofs are connected and they are basically a stones throw away from each other. There is a caboose, general store, salt and pepper shaker and 4 other dwellings right next to each other. Where are the pictures showing this???. I, personally, was absolutely NOT looking for this but there were no pictures of the property from a distance—so yes that is deceiving when choosing a property to rent. I would have NEVER booked this because I don’t want to stay in a community dwelling. It was like I was at a campsite. All of those buildings had to share a fire pit. The buildings were in need of upkeep as well. Also when you first walked into the salt and pepper building the floor was noticeably soft and will soon be in need of repair. I also would not have stayed knowing the well water is the kind that smells like rotten eggs. Our well does not have that odor and I would have preferred not to stay here. I know some reviewers liked it here but we could not wait to leave. The grills were not clean and we could not use them as well. I should have called about it but the water in the kitchen only got hot for not even a minute making it very difficult to wash the dishes.

4/5 Good

Cozy get-away
Cozy stay! Quiet and peaceful!! My only issues were the ants and spiders even though it smelled of bug spray when we arrived. Also the water temperature in the shower is very temperamental. This was our second trip and we would stay again!

3/5 Okay

peaceful & unique
The property needs some landscaping maintenance as well as closer attention to water heater situation. Hot water was very sketchy. We liked the location, and enjoyed all the little buildings in the village.

3/5 Okay

Salt and Pepper Cabin Hocking Hills
It's nice, quiet, and close to Hocking Hills hiking trails. The drinking water has a strong sulfur smell and taste bad. We had to buy our own toilet paper and paper towels as they only had enough for 1 day and we were there for 3 days.Wash cloth had a hole in it. Very spotty cell phone and internet service, but it's like that all over hocking hills probably due to all of the hills. We enjoyed our stay and it's pet friendly, so it worked for us. If you're looking for a 4 or 5 star place this is not it.

3/5 Okay

Cozy place inside and cute senery
Easy to rent. Easy to find. Needs deep cleaned before customers arrivals. Landscaping needed. Would have made it more attractive to the eyes. Loved the pit outback made s'mores.
