Petersons is an older style rural home split into about 6 or 6 suites. Bathrooms refurbished to top quality. Spacious. Dining options are excellent - breakfast very good and dinner in restaurant is excellent. Note you will be drinking Petersons wines - primarily from Armidale and the Hunter. Some good quality selections. Highly recommended if you don't mind staying 3-4km from the city centre.

The staff at Peterson were outstanding. Any request was instantly responded to. Many thanks to Victoria and all the girls. The house was beautifully warm, not sure how they manage that as it’s a large residence. The rooms are large and the underfloor heating in the bathrooms is fabulous. A perfect 3-day getaway especially as we booked the 7 rooms.

Absolutely beautiful, the staff were amazing and very friendly. the room was so inviting , sitting in front of the fire with a glass of Petersons Chardonnay finished off a perfect stay. we will be back.

Lovely restored heritage guesthouse with 7 spacious suites with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast had limited choices. The crockery used didn’t match the grandure of the house. The gardens and tennis court needed work.

A great stay.
We stayed 2 nights - with dinner and breakfast both days - all meals were very good - breakfast was included with the room. Also included was a complimentary wine tasting which was excellent. The room was large and well appointed - the bathroom was very large and spotlessly clean. Sarah checked us in on arrival, did our wine tasting and served our dinner - she is excellent. The property is lovely - it is outside of town so very quiet. The hotel is a lovely place to stsy for 1 night or while touring the area.

Step back in time
just beautiful and private. Bedroom was huge with glorious roomy bathroom. Furnishing all suited the period home. Restaurant was very romantic and just us that night. Gardens lovely to walk around. Though we missed cellar door as closes at 4pm. But had all on menu & could order tasting plate for your room. Highly recommend just beautiful

The property was absolutely beautiful only issue we had was with the heating. Reception was extremely cold until fires were lit which took till about 6 pm to warm the place up and the rooms were very very cold even when we had the wall heating set at 30 degrees. The heated bathroom floor was fabulous.

Dear Anonymous Thank you for your review, we are happy to hear you thought the property was beautiful. In regards to the heating the gas heater and one of the fires had been going since 1pm as it does take a lot to warm such a large double brick home especially in the middle of an Armidale winter. We are sorry to hear that it still felt cold to you upon arrival. Regarding the room heating, we would have happily supplied another heater for room had you mention this to a staff member as we understand that many are not use to Armidale’s climate. We are always happy to hear your feedback as this helps us improve our service to our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future maybe Spring or Summer when Armidale is at its best.

What a wonderful place to call home for a few nights! We had booked to stay for a night, but ended up staying for six nights due to the attentive staff, talented chef and amazing wines.

Comfy, cosy guest house in the quaint New England
A little gem a stones throw from the main part of Armidale but seemingly a world away set on the edge of Peterson’s New England vineyard. The meals were superb (don’t lose your chef, her skills are sensational). Our room (3) was spacious, northeast facing and included a large spa bath. The main guest house was comfy and cosy with log fires and plenty of gas heating. We’ll be back!

Lovely guest house.
Lovely guest house with helpful staff. The heated bathroom floors were an added luxury. The restaurant was very good. My only complaint was a small blue ceiling light that could not be turned off (we discovered afterwards that it was part of the newly installed wifi system). I struggled to sleep because of it but otherwise the stay was faultless.

Lovely heritage house but our room was very dark and unappealing with no natural air. For a luxury stay I felt linen and bath supplies could have been better. Dinner and breakfast was very good and service at dinner excellent. Breakfast service could have been better.

I am sorry you found your room dark, we would have been more than happy to bring you some additional lighting so please dont hesitate to ask if there is anything in the future we can do to make your room more comfortable. We do have windows in all of the rooms that can be opened for fresh air, but due to it being winter and very cold in Armidale we keep them shut so I apologise that you felt there was no natural air. Thank you for your feedback on the bath amenities, we are currently looking into new suppliers as our previous supplier stopped offering the luxury range that we used to have here. I am so pleased you enjoyed your meals. We hope to see you again, thank you again for choosing Petersons
