Great place to stay in Camargue
Very nice hotel with a modern relaxed feel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is situated just outside the town, and it takes 10 min to walk to town. Camargue is a great place for biking and running. Our room was clean and nice. The staff gave us good advice on restaurants in town. The town is quite touristy, but the beaches stretches out endlessly and if you bike (or walk) a little you will find a nice and quiet spot. Arles is only 30 min away by car, we went there to check out the famous annual photography festival that have been running for 50 years. A small drawback about our room was that the available coffee maker only made espresso, and that the specific type of capsules needed to be bought for 1 euro a cup at the reception (Nespresso etc. would not fit in). The room had no water boiler.

Very nice location
The lady who greeted us at check in couldn't have been nicer. Our room was very quiet even though the hotel is located right on the main road to town and had a door opening to a little terrace and a lawn. We were able to walk to town for dinner and avoided having to deal with finding a parking spot. It is also located just a five minute drive from the Ornithological Park which makes it easy to be there at opening time on a hot day. The pool was warmer than many we've seen at French hotels and the spa was a welcome addition. The breakfast buffet was copious with excellent coffee. Our small dog was made to feel welcome.

Comfortable stay other than the small size of the room. We were jammed. Enjoyed the pool and spa. At first we were disappointed that it was not in town but then we liked that as it was just a short walk into town. Town was jammed and very touristy so this had a nicer vibe than places in town. Before you get to the touristy bakery there was a small local bakery with super staff. You can rent bikes to go to bird park. Also recommend Would stay here again.

The staff were welcoming and knew much of the surrounding areas. We dealt with one chap in the evenings and two ladies during the day who were very helpful and happy to speak English. Ample parking, and the lot is locked at night. You're given an access code for the gate. Beautifully furnished room and hotel; the tile walkways closely match that surrounding the church in the center of town. Outdoor furniture was a nice touch. Large semi wet-room style shower. Comfy bed. Highly recommend the breakfast, everything was fresh and continuously stocked with a wide range of choices. Lovely pool area with lounge chairs and tables. Low key and casual in the best of senses.

Mas de Cocagne means "a village in paradise."
Le Mas de Cocagne was the last stop on a driving tour that my husband I took during the last two week of September in Provence. While the Mas is lovely, the staff and management were a delight. Especially helpful and appropriately friendly was Ali, who offered helpful information on the area. The hotel is next to the town of Sts. Marie de la Mer and the edge of the Camargue, making it convenient to the sites of this area. There isn't a lot around the hotel, so you need a car to get to the town or the parks or to places to eat or shop. The hotel is small and cozy. Our room was on the small side, but very comfortable, with the best bathroom of our trip. The Mas is on one level; all of the rooms have covered sitting areas in front of the rooms. They have a heated swimming pool (good for lap swimming) and hot tub just outside the reception and breakfast area.The Mas serves a full buffet breakfast, not just a continental. We found it to be on the expensive side, but in a very pleasant dining room, with a helpful, friendly staff. If "Le Mas de Concagne" means "a village in paradise", it lives up to its name.

Best hotel within city limits
Nicely renovated with a modern feel. It is within city limits and we could actually enjoy dinner and wine in town and walk back.

Do the Camargue in style
There is a simple elegance to this hotel which satisfies all of the essential requirements. Bearing in mind the wider attractions of the Camargue region, ranging from historic towns to the wildlife and gitano culture, the option of staying poolside in the sunshine is always tempting - weather permitting. A ten minute walk from the hotel takes one into the charming seaside town of Saintes Maries de la Mer, with its shops and restaurants concentrated in the meandering streets surrounding the ancient church. The hotel is situated on the main road to Arles, is easy to find and has ample parking, secured at night. The hotel staff are courteous, helpful and friendly but by no means intrusive . All in all a super little hotel among the white horses, black bulls and flamingos.

Kleines, aber feines „Landhotel“, ruhige Lage, gutes Frühstück, sehr saubere Zimmer und Sanitäranlagen, kleine Poolanlage, absolut zuvorkommendes und hilfsbereites Personal, sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten direkt auf dem Hotelgelände, Ste Marie de la Mer in gemütlichen 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!!!

L'hôtel est confortable et le personnel attentif. Le petit déjeuner est de qualité... Pour un 4 etoiles il manque 7n frigo dans lz chambre. Il manque une navette pour aller en ville. Et les derniers 300 m pour regagner l hôtel se font sur le bad côte de lz route sand éclairage le soir ...il est recommandé de prendre sa voiture le soir pour aller au restaurant...Par rapport aux prestations L'hôtel est donc un peu cher...

Notre établissement étant situé à 800m du centre ville et des plages nous n'avons effectivement pas de service de navette, cependant encore une fois n'hésitez pas à vous rendre à la réception lors de votre prochain séjour afin que nous puissions vous aider (location de vélo, taxi, calèche ou tuk-tuk). Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans cet hôtel qui n'a rien d'un standard 4 étoiles. Le coût de la nuitée (et du petit déjeuner) est disproportionné par rapport à la qualité de l'hôtel ainsi que vis à vis des services proposés. Le seul point positif, la présence d'un rideau pour scinder la chambre, pratique avec un bébé.

Un séjour plein de soleil
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour au Mas de Cocagne. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons senti une atmosphère très décontractante dans un environnement très bien entretenu. Notre chambre n'était pas très grande mais tout à fait fonctionnelle et très propres. Le petit déjeuner est de très grande qualité et nous nous sommes régalés aux côtés du patron qui n'a pas hésité à faire la conversation et avec qui nous avons échangé d'agréables moments. Le personnel de service est très serviable et nous sentons une ambiance familiale très appréciable. Dans tous les cas, nous pouvons vous recommander cette magnifique adresse, proche du village. Les conseils de restaurant qui nous ont été remis étaient de très belles découvertes et nous avons été ravis. Bref un séjour très plaisant et sous le soleil du Sud. A noter que nous y étions pendant le Pèlerinage des gens du voyage et l'ambiance est vraiment sans pareil.

Das Hotel ist sehr geschmackvoll gebaut und eingerichtet, so dass man sich von Anfang an wohl fühlt. Das Personal ist freundlich und trifft genau die richtige Ansprache, nicht zu viel und nicht zu wenig! Das Frühstück ist klasse!

Première journée de printemps en Camargue
Belle réalisation très confortable , accueil parfait ( mais nous étions hors saison) , petit déjeuner très agréable produits frais bien choisis, la piscine paraît agréable et bien ensoleillée . Position très pratique permettant de rejoindre saintes maries à pied . Deux défauts (petits?) Proximité de la route d Arles très passante . Manque de recul des terrasses privatives , donnant sur un mur d enceinte à quelques mètres

Saintes-Maries-sur-la-mer ist ein Besuch wert (Mückenstiche inklusive). Das Hotel ist gut und sauber, für 4 Sterne (und die Preise) dürften die Zimmer allerdings grösser und komfortabler sein. Essenstipps in Saintes-Maries: El campo (am Wochenende mit Live-Flamenco-Musik; eine Wucht!) und La table du 9; schlechte Erfahrungen haben wir gemacht im: La Grange.

Vacanze 2016, volevamo scoprire la Camargue e siamo finiti a "Le Mas de Cocagne": hotel in buona posizione (a 5 minuti dal centro di Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer), silenzioso, parcheggio gratuito, piscina esterna (ma riscaldata e pulita ogni sera), comode sdraio ed ampi ombrelloni (che servono, le nuvole non esistono in Camargue!). La camera (la n.9) è comoda, agevole per 2 persone, piccola veranda esterna, bagno con grande spazio doccia, ogni dotazione necessaria (thè/caffè in camera), dagli accappatoi alle pantofole. Colazione (non inclusa, euro 18 a persona!) molto abbondante! Personale gentilissimo, a disposizione per consigli e prenotazioni (ad es. passeggiate in bici o a cavallo), wi-fi gratuito buono! Bar per panini/gelati annesso alla struttura (per la cena invece devi uscire ma si va in paese a piedi senza problemi, è pieno di locali) Ottima struttura per il relax!!
