A beautiful property with stunning views of the a castle and towns on cliffs. Their dining area overlooks this view and it's amazing. Buffet breakfast had a good selection. Praia da Rocha is very close and a pleasant walk from the resort. Their big pool is a saltwater pool and we really appreciated to be allowed in our room earlier.

Enjoyed the NH Marina Portimão. Friendly staff. The room was spacious, a bit older, but very clean. We were in the Marina side. There is also Deck & Sun side. The brunch was really delicious and lots of options. Would recommend staying there.

Truly a sensational location and experience. Close to the water and right on the marina. Staff are fantastic and very helpful. Beaches are close and are clean and outstanding. From the moment we walked in to reception we were treated so well. Special mention to Pedro who took care of our needs and went above and beyond to be sure we had a great stay. Love the atmosphere at this hotel. Very relaxing place to stay. The location is perfect as you are at a beautiful marina and are right next to the beach. I would stay here again as this hotel has a resort like feel. The breakfast is also really good. Stay here, you won’t regret it. Lovely place.

This was a very good place to stay in Portimão, Portugal. The view of the marina and the quiet were delightful. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance (very close). We were accepted into our room 4 hours early. The room was a little dated, but extremely clean with a kitchenette. The price was very good. Thank you

The beds!!
Overall, a hotel not worth the money really. On the good side, the food was very good. A varied selection and always fresh, it could do with better signage though so that you know what you are selecting. If there was something not available or not to your liking they are happy to oblige and make you something else. The view from the restaurant terrace overlooking the marina is fantastic. Free covered and secure parking. On the bad side, the beds were absolutely terrible. We are back from the hotel nearly a week now and I am still suffering from a back ache. The double bed is way WAY too soft to the point where you actually sink into the bed. My two teenagers were put one on a sofa bed where the mattress was so thin that you actually feel the bars from the sofa. My other teenager was on a fold away bed which creaked so loudly that it woke us up at night and to be honest, I think prison beds are better. The room was also too dimly lit and the only way to see things properly was to go into the bathroom which was the only room with adequate lighting. The hotel could also do with offering some entertainment in the evenings. There was live music for only one night during our stay and it wasn't anything to write home about. The rooms are pretty run down too and in need of some serious TLC. All in all, a hotel with a lot of potential which is sadly lacking.

Not a 4 star - very disappointing
Not a 4 star hotel. There are two parts to this hotel, one main hotel and then the second part of the resort which is located about 15mins walk (in the hot sun) along the marina. There are 2 shuttle ‘golf’ buggies which can be used but are only available if they are not shuttling newcomers to their rooms or guests to the beach. We stayed in the second part of the resort which has access to only one very small pool with no pool/snack bar. There were no working toilets and the one vending machine with drinks was not working. There is no receptionist at the second reception so if you need anything you have to call main reception (15min away). The rooms have no complimentary water, you have to pay for any water you need (a very basic thing), and any drinks you order to room has to be paid for immediately. You are given only one beach towel per person on arrival and if you do not return it to main reception, you are charged €20. The rooms need huge maintenance work. We had wobbly taps, mouldy grouting, panels loose in the kitchenette. Cleaners did not clean the bathroom. We try to reuse towels but if they need replacing, we leave them in a pile on the floor - these were still being hung back up. Most towels are threadbare. Main pool is saltwater and chlorine combined and was cloudy. Security to the main hotel is tight but the second part is open to public and so is the car park - doesn’t feel safe at all. Just so disappointing as the location has so much potential.

One thing that was frustrating was parking at the marina beach units (not part of main resort). We had a rental car and could not find parking during the day because non-resort people would park and go to the beach, there are no controls in place, and the resort could have barriers with card activivation or tags for mirrors, but nothing in place to reserve parking for resort quests only.

We had a marina view apartment for 2 adults and 2 teenagers-clean and spacious with a large comfortable double bed in the separate bedroom and 2 single sofa beds in the lounge area.1 sofa bed was very comfortable, 1 looked more flimsy but was adequate. Big pool and always managed to get sun beds even though it was peak season. Pool bar was a good option for lunch and had reasonable prices. Breakfast buffet had a very good selection including eggs made to order. A short walk to the beach with lots of good restaurants nearby.

One of the best holiday experience
One of the best resorts I have stayed during holidays people are friendly . Although my room little bit far from reception always they provided buggy with in minutes to travel internally . Food is quite good and reasonable prices .

We really enjoyed our breakfasts. There was so much choice. The apartment we stayed in was lovely and the small kitchen was very well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing we were a little unhappy about was the sofa bed, which was uncomfortable due to the mattress part being hard. When we booked I opted for the two double bed or 4 single beds but they were neither!! It was a misleading statement by expedia.

Holiday with 2 children. All good! We stayed in an apartment by the harbour and the views were stunning. The location is so unique. We had to waste the children when walking to the pool as there’s no barrier from going off into the harbour but that didn’t make it difficult. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel was friendly and staff were great. Poolside food service was great, the food menu was amazing. The veggie burger was a highlight. Buffet breakfast was great, evening buffet was lovely too. The pool was salted and not chorine which confused us but we guess it was normal? 😂 there was only 1 toilet by the pool but luckily we went during quiet season so it wasn’t a problem but I imagine if it’s busy it would be difficult. We would absolutely go again to this hotel. No negatives for us.

Great location and staff. Our room could have used some maintenance with cracking shower wall and not very functional shower head. AC was leaking but fixed upon request. Having said all of this we had a great stay and would recommend the hotel.

Beautiful views
The staff were excellent, any problem was solved quickly and efficiently. The hotel amenities are superb and the views from the apartment are breathtaking. Breakfast was a joy on the marina deck. A good all round experience.

Property was clean but dated. Place felt souless. Staff didn’t interact with you apart from one lovely pool guy. Breakfast wasn’t great. Check in was poor no information given about hotel. Expected a marina view room so we had to haggle to get our room changed. Pool area was nice.

Quick break Portamao
Stayed 3 nights. Nice spacious room. Quiet. A 5 min walk from reception and excellent breakfast. Disappointing we couldn’t have a bite and a drink overlooking marina in afternoon. That space only open at 18.30 I believe. But excellent in many ways and I would recommend.

Overall, a very nice place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our only criticism is that the breakfast didn't have many items for those who want to eat fresh, healthy and low-carb food.
