The Mandolin, although a little bit older was a delightful place to stay and I only wish we could have stayed longer. The two bedroom apartment was well laid out and quite spacious, with everything a family could need. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with utensils and cooking equipment and the laundry did its job amicably.
While the multiple ceiling fans and single air con unit kept the whole apartment cool and refreshing.
The views from the balcony were amazing, across to the beach and down the length of the coast. Speaking of the beach, it was just a quick jaunt across the road and past the lifesaving club. Food was well catered for with a number of different options within easy walking distance. Although, to be fair, being peak season, the long delays at most of the eateries were a bit of a problem.
The only problems we encountered were the cleanliness of our particular apartment, with a few niggling things like dirty utensils etc in the kitchen cupboard and a few other minor oversights. The other, more impacting problem was the wifi, it was in a state of upheaval at the time of our stay and we were only able to log on a few times (after many, many attempts) for up to about 6 minutes before being booted. I would imagine those to be a one off type deal and they didn't really detract from the overall pleasantness of the apartment, or the location.
The staff were all very friendly and eager to help and communication was great.
