"Wyndham has been busy in restoring the beach area as when we were there 2 years ago, the beach just outside the boundary of the main pool was non-existent. There are now loungers in the area where water used to be. Same with the ground level suites that face the ocean - you might not be access the beach still but at least water is not lapping at the balcony door. The hotel has implemented a rule regarding placing the hotel towels and personal items to reserve loungers by the main pool and pool by Off the Hook; unfortunately, occasionally staff will remove the items after an hour. It is sad that some patrons do not like to follow the rule as everyone should have opportunity to relax by the pool. Jorge, pool and bar manager informed me that towel/reservations is a work in progress. The Wyndham front line staff including management are welcoming (Alexandro) and are willing to help out with reasonable requests. The food at the resort are superb. The buffet have variety so one never gets bored of having the same food though I can never get enough of taco chips/salsa/habanero. Thanks to Eduardo and Hector for introducing me to the lovely hot sauces. Sebastian, thank you for remembering my pot of decaf coffee with hot leche (milk) in the morning. Suggestions: please reinstate small bills for exchanging for large bills and bring back my popcorn. "

"This was our first time at Ocean Maya, we picked the Privilege package and loved the “perks”. All the staff are so friendly. Have to give a huge thank you to our Butler Alberto and to Jorge at the Privilege hut by the beach, they took such great care of us and made our vacation very enjoyable. Food was great at all of the restaurants, we couldn’t pick a favourite, they were all really good. The buffet had so many choices of food. The pool and beach are well maintained and the grounds were very beautiful. Our room was clean and comfortable, the mini bar was stocked every day and we loved that there were 2 small bags of chips to snack on when we got back from the beach. There were lots of animals to spot on the property from Coatis, birds, iguanas and we even saw a deer by the tennis courts. The resort has so many options for everyone depending on what you want for your vacation. The party pool was always rockin with the entertainment staff. We enjoyed the quiet pool and the beach. The property isn’t huge, we liked that you didn’t have to walk too far to get to anything. We have stayed at many resorts in Cancun and Cabo. This is a great resort and we have plans to go back soon. "

"The resort is right next to the action downtown and next to the Ferry. We loved to sit by the pool and beach all day and the night life in town was great to experience as well. The staff was the most accommodating staff that we have had in our travels. The cost of the resort is very reasonable for what it includes. We tried the Hibachi Grill and the Italian Restaurant. Both were very good! The kids loved ordering room service and it was to the room within the half hour every time. Eric was a great tour guide on the bikes and showed up some renewable architecture as well as the Ruins around the property. He also kicked our behinds in the pool with Zumba. I can't recommend this resort enough for a reasonably priced all-inclusive place to take the family. "

"The restaurants all had amazing choices. Wish there was a bit more entertainment but overall experience was wonderful. Went for my honeymoon and it’s very romantic both night and day. Place is safe and staff is so kind. Best experience and very memorable. Looking forward to coming back. "
