"Just returned from nine nights (single Dad & two kids, 11 & 5) and we all loved it. I've been to Fiji a couple of times previously but this was the first time out to an island and it was definitely worth the extra expense. Water activities were excellent, in particular the water jungle and even the sand-bar snorkelling was good for kids. Food was pretty good, though it was difficult to get booked into anything other than the main buffet rom for evening meal, but we did go to Tavola twice. I'd probably only do 5-nights next time and go somewhere else too, but I would definitely return here."

"The Funky Fish was amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to assist guests. The photos online do not capture the beauty of the place—it’s even better in person. For its price, the Funky Fish is well worth the value, without a doubt. However, getting from the resort to other islands or activities can be somewhat challenging and expensive. The island itself offers limited activities, and the cost of boat transportation can accumulate quickly, each boat trip costing at least $50 FJD. It's something to keep in mind for budgeting purposes. For vegetarians, dining options can be a bit of a challenge. The kitchen staff does their best to accommodate dietary needs, but options are rather limited. The food is generally good, but vegetarians might find the options difficult. Despite these considerations, I would definitely return to the Funky Fish for another visit. Its an incredible place to stay! "

"Beautiful spot to relax and enjoy in paradise. We are a family of 4 and spent 6 nights in a beach front Bure and we loved it. Beds were comfortable and a short walk to the main beach,bar and eating area. The food was good, you wont go hungry. We took some snacks but didn't need all of them. We also took 18 bottles of water which we used up over the 6 nights (Saved some money not buying on the island). Overall it's a real family atmosphere and we made friends with other families. Snorkeling is twice daily, but you can just relax on the beach and take a dip when you get to hot. The room is cleaned daily and everything was better than we expected. Just being in the Beautiful clear water looking around is just amazing! We will be back. Staff are very friendly and like family. The only problem we had was the pickup service and boat to the island, I organised a pickup from our airbnb but the transport went to the wrong place even though they had the address, so we had to quickly find a taxi to the port."

"I'm writing this from the Tokoriki restaurant which abuts a calm sea with a view of the island where Tom Hanks hung out with a volleyball in Castaway. But it is not the view (which is spectacular), or the large villas right on the beach (which are amazing) that make this place a 5-star experience. What makes this place a 5-star paradise is the staff. Somehow EVERYONE knows your name immediately. This in itself is quite a feat because the staff outnumbers the guests. (Someone really knows their Dale Carnagie!) They greet every guest with a welcome song and announce every guest's departure at dinner accompanied by a good-bye song. It rained quite a bit while we were here, but we did sneak in some incredible snorkling just yards from the hotel. My only tiny complaint is that it would be nice if they offered some relevant exercise classes--I'm thinking like yoga or mindfulness--but I imagine that is on the way since they are in the process now of building a gym. As I'm writing this another helicopter just landed carrying new guests...can't wait to see their reaction when the entire staff shows up to welcome them!"

"Absolutely stunning views, professional staff hospitality, food was amazing and the fact that rooms didn’t have TV’s was brilliant. Peace and quiet. Definitely recommend to anyone that simply wants to escape the busyness of life. You will not regret a moment. Magical indeed."
