Top 10 flight etiquette tips to make flying more comfortable for everyone

Before boarding, tips to have top of mind
Courtesy and a smile will make a huge difference
Deal with any problem immediately, do not let it escalate
Flyers are often either nervous, excited or need a rest! Respect your fellow passengers
Come prepared with a sturdy set of ear plugs to ensure a peaceful flight
1. How to put the seat kicker back in their place
Kid kicking: Turn around and smile. Then say, "You probably don’t realise it, but your child’s got a lively kick back there!"
Adult kicking: Turn around and smile. Then say, "You only have to touch these chairs and you feel it!"
2. How to elbow your way, when seated next to an armrest hogger
There’s space for everyone!
  - The aisle has the aisle armrest and extra leg room
  - The middle seat has the opportunity to have two armrest
  - The window seat has the window and one armrest
If difficulty continues maintain your sense of humour and flip a coin for the armrest!
3. How to hush a talkative fellow passenger
Say hello, smile and quickly put your ear phones on or start watching a movie
Excuse yourself and go to the bathroom to break the communication. Come back and say that you are feeling unwell and are now going to have a sleep
4. How to dry up a serial toilet user
Set an example just before meal times and say, "Excuse me, I must use the bathroom before breakfast/lunch/dinner." Hopefully they will follow suit
Offer to swap seats if they continuously get up and down

When the meal arrives, remember that it’s elbows in when cutting with your fork and knife. Even if it’s a tough steak, patience is key!
