Aussie travelers who are planning a holiday in Dubai are not alone as the emirate in the United Arab Emirates had the highest occupancy figures of any destination in the world through the first four months of 2010.
In addition, Dubai had the highest revenue per room of any place in the world according to a recent study conducted by international accounting and consulting firm Deloitte, reports Travel Daily News.
Specifically, the territory was at 77.4 percent occupancy through the first four months of the year and had a revenue per room figure of $235.50.
Ian Scott, UK and Ireland director for the government of Dubai, in the department of tourism and commerce marketing, thinks the numbers show the strength of the emirate as a tourist destination.
"Occupancy increase for the first four months of the year clearly demonstrates Dubai’s resilience as a tourism destination as the world starts to emerge from the recent economic downturn," he told the news source. "Dubai has developed a strong offering which has a universal appeal with a host of exciting developments catering for all tastes and budgets."
While there may be a lot of people heading there, one can never go wrong in choosing a Dubai holiday.
