The new Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa, near Tampa, Florida, has won the AAA Four Diamond Award, reports Travel Daily News.
Four Diamond awards are given in recognition a hotel's high quality in service and accommodations. According to the news source, less than 4 percent of the 31,000 hotels being reviewed gain this status. Numerous Hyatt hotels have been given the honor.
"We are honored to be recognized with the AAA Four Diamond Award, particularly within our first year of operation," said Brian Kramer, general manager of the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa. "Looking forward, we are eager to uphold the superior reputation and expectations associated with this designation."
Australian travelers interested in taking a vacation to Florida might consider staying in Clearwater thanks to its close proximity to the warm Gulf waters and fun attractions such as the Busch Gardens theme park.
The Clearwater resort has 250 rooms, all of which are deluxe, one or two bedroom suites with private balconies overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. One of its best features isn't in the room, however... it's on the roof. A pool on the eighth floor offers beautiful ocean vistas perfect for those Florida sunsets.
