Travelers who review sites, hotels and restaurants on TripAdvisor.com have named the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa as the best view from a bed in the world. The designation applies to the property's over-water bures, a wood-and-straw hut.
Located in the Tahitian Islands, the InterContinental resort is an all-bure property, but the cabins are incredibly luxurious. Each one is a private villa with a bedroom and a separate living room. The beds literally look right outside towards the turquoise waters and stunning mountain scenery.
"The glass-walled bedrooms are on one of the most stunning lagoons on the face of the planet," says a statement found on TravelDailyNews.com. "If you’re so inclined, you can take a few steps onto the deck and dive right in; but the best part is... that you don’t have to."
A spa is also located on the property, which offers a variety of sensual treatments perfect for couples. In addition, relaxing deep-tissue massages and facials provide that extra bit of rejuvenated sought on vacation.
At night, live entertainment is provided on the property in one of the two dining restaurants.
