Travelers planning a trip to the Dominican Republic should consider a stay at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, which plans to open on January 29, 2011.
Hard Rock's first property in the Caribbean is poised to make a big splash thanks to a massive 121-acre property that includes 1,800 rooms, their specially designed Rock Spa, the largest casino in the Dominican Republic, a golf course, eleven pools and eleven dining establishments. Essentially, this resort is the biggest property to open in the tropics since Atlantis opened in the Bahamas.
If all that wasn't enough, a nightclub and Kerry Simon restaurant will open sometime later this year.
"This first all-inclusive Caribbean… property marks a major milestone for our brand that started with just a single cafe opening in 1971," said Michael Shindler, executive vice president of hotels & casinos. "As we celebrate Hard Rock's 40th anniversary in 2011, we look forward to our Hotels & Casinos' growth, while staying true to our music vibe and rock 'n' roll roots."
When guests on island holidays enter the hotel, they'll be greeted by a jellyfish tank, a baby grand piano and several LED screens that pay tribute to rock gods like Aerosmith, KISS and Madonna.
The hotel plans to hold large concerts and other special events throughout the year to celebrate its opening.
