Thailand's capital city, Bangkok, has seen a recent surge in new hotels. Accor, the country's largest international hotel operator, has announced the opening of yet another one in early 2011.
The newly built Novotel Bangkok Impact, which figures to be one of the most popular Bangkok hotels, features 380 guest rooms and suites and will be integrated within the Impact Arena, Exhibition and Convention center which hosts some of Asia's largest events.
"The Novotel brand is one of Thailand's most recognized international hotel brands and with this new location within the Impact complex, the brand will reach a new segment in the events and exhibition market," said Oswald Pichler, Accor's vice president of operations for Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.
Facilities in the hotel will include two restaurants, a bar, a swimming pool and a fitness center. The hotel will be 10 stories high and will feature modern architecture and Novotel's new generation of guest room designs.
Located within a 30-minute drive from Bangkok's downtown area and one hour from Suvarnabhumi International Airport, the hotel will be a prime spot for travelers.
