The Socceroos and their upcoming World Cup appearance may be in the forefront of everyone's mind, but the Rugby World Cup isn't too far off and it could be a perfect reason for a New Zealand holiday.
The Rugby World Cup begins in September 2011 and features 20 of the world's best teams. As always the Wallabies are one of the strongest sides in the field and will be hoping to come back home with their third world title, winning their last in 1999.
Australia has drawn a difficult group that includes Ireland, America, Italy and Russia. The Wallabies begin their attempt to recapture the World Cup on September 11 against the Italians in Christchurch.
The event, which will run through October 23, is sure to be an unforgettable experience for anyone who decides to take a holiday in Auckland or any one of the sites in New Zealand that will host matches.
With the Rugby World Cup being in such a beautiful place it is no wonder that New Zealand's Ministry of Tourism is expecting 85,000 people to come to the event, making it important for travel to be booked early.
