Australian tourists who want to go on Amsterdam holidays or trips to any European destination may want to book their travel soon as the prices of hotels there have fallen.
According to the Trivago Hotel Price Index (tHPI), the average hotel price in Europe this July fell to $154 Australian per night for a standard double room, down from $168 last month, reports Travel Daily News. The tHPI revealed that hotel prices dropped in 38 of the 50 cities examined.
The trend of falling prices was perhaps best exhibited by Spain and its popular summer destinations. The cost of a hotel room in Madrid fell by 21 percent to $166, which is the lowest total so far this year. Hotel rooms in Granada and Seville are also currently offering their lowest prices of the year so far, costing guests $95 and $104 per night, respectively.
Scandinavian destinations like Oslo and Copenhagen saw their prices fall significantly, while hotels in England are on the rise with London leading the way with an 18 percent increase.
