The tour starts at St. Mary's Church in the heart of the city and takes you past the city's sights for two to three hours on a family-friendly and varied route of approx. 3 km.

These include the Stralsund's weekly market (Tuesday and Friday), a medieval grocer's house from 1320, now a museum of Hanseatic history, the executioner's house, St. Catherine's Church, now a maritime museum, the House of Crafts, the Wallenstein, a medieval tavern with authentic furnishings, the old city wall, countless colourful gabled houses, the historic market square (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the town hall and St. Johannis Monastery. The tour ends on the harbour island in front of the OZEANEUM.
