What you can expect

Kambo ceremony:

Preparation:

· The frog used in Kambo Medicine is the Bicolor Phyllomedusa, known as the “Green and Black Toad”. It is carefully and respectful to guarantee the sustainability and well -being of the animal. Then, we make a stimulus gently for the extraction of the substance that will later be used (it is very important to comment that this process does not cause any significant damage to the animal). Once collected, the secretion is allowed to dry naturally.

Fast:

· It is usually recommended to drink at least 2 litres of water, avoid alcoholic drinks, narcotics, sex and a food aid of at least 8 hours before the ceremony.

Welcome and Introduction:

· The teacher will explain the process, the possible side effects and the importance of respect for medicine.

Protection ritual:

· You can include songs, sentences or specific rituals to invoke the protection of spiritual energies.

Kambo application:

· The teacher will perform small surface burns on the skin, usually at the top of the arm or leg. Kambo's secretion is applied in burns, allowing the substance to enter the bloodstream.

Body reaction:

· The effects usually begin within minutes and include symptoms such as sweating, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
These symptoms are indicators that medicine is purifying the body and eliminating toxins.

Rest and containment:

· During the process, the teacher will guide and support the patient, making sure he is comfortable and safe.

Recovery:

· After the purge, the participant will rest and recover. It is common to feel exhausted, but also revitalised after experience.

Integration:

· The teacher and the participant can have an integration session to reflect on the experience and its meaning.

Ritual closure:

· A ceremonial closure is performed to thank Kambo medicine and finish the ceremony in a respectful way.
