Very Noisy! But... Great Location
The Jasper staff were not so friendly..Very dry reception we seemed to be an inconvienence. A very strange experience: room service refused to leave when asked very nicely, making me late for an appointment. I ended up having to literally push staff member out the door and close it behind her.. Quite awkward indeed. Hotel is very cute and in a great location, close to shops and china town, and TRAMS!! The noise in room was terrible! Some double glazing on windows would be great. Took a while to get used to noise and I woke many times due to noise levels. Found room a bit dark at night with only one down light in entrance and lamps. Use of colour through hotel looks great. The room I shared with a friend 2x single beds was a good size and did the trick for our 4 day stay. I will be staying at a different hotel next visit to Melbourne purely because of the noisy rooms and strange staff.

Nice hotel, convenient location
Dont be put off by the outside appearance of the hotel. The interior of the hotel is as per pictured on their website. Located 2 blocks from free city circle tram, and across the road from Queen Victoria Markets (which have some great deli options/breakfast choices, fruit and veg and local beer/wine). Jasper Kitchen, McDonalds, 7-Eleven, Subway, Asian market/restaurants and bottle shop all at your doorstep. There is room service available, including breakfast. If you are a light sleeper, you will be kept up/woken up by the tram that runs down Elizabeth Street and stops just past the hotel front entrance. Hotel room itself was comfortable, hotel staff were extremely pleasant to deal with and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Great experience!
This hotel is in an extremely convenient location as there is easy access to trams and only block and a half from the central station. The hotel has a fresh, trendy look (I assume it was renovated fairly recently) and extemely friendly and efficient staff. The room was at the back of the building and very quiet. large, clean rooms with comfortable beds. If you came to spend a lot of time in the room, the TV would be a bit annoying, it was nice flat screen attached to the wall but very small. Few foxtel channels which is a plus but some of the channels werent quite tuned right and made funny noises. No issue to us though, as we werent watching much TV besides quick news in the morning. Very good, would absolutely recommend.
