very pleased
Very clean hotel and very accommodating staff, giving us a ground floor room to accommodate my elderly mother, as there are no lifts at the hotel. Wake up call spot on time and transfer to airport excellent. Recommend that you book transfer for pick up from airport to hotel when you arrive. We didn’t and there was not one taxi driver who knew how to get there. Recommend this hotel for a close by airport hotel stopover.

Great Basic Transit Hotel
I was looking for something cheap close to the airport just for the purpose of sleeping. Though it was just off a freeway ramp, it was surprisingly quiet. The room was very clean, well-organized and efficient. That is was aesthetically pleasant, in a very basic way, was a plus. I plan to use it again for the same purpose - transit lodging.

Value for money among transit options in Bangkok
Suvarnabhumi’s official hotels -- both inside the airport and outside the airport are expensive. Great Residence offers a good option if the transit is for less than 15 hours. It is close to the airport. The place is tidy. Room and bath are elementary, but clean. Staff are okay. There is a small restaurant/bar serving reasonable food. Taxis are available. There is also a transport service offered inside the hotel, but slightly on the expensive side. You can use the service if your trip will be short and you want to return to the hotel without any hassle. Internet was not working. I think it was a technical snag because the signals could be received into the room, yet connecting to the server was problematic. The reception people did not even want to understand the problem.
