Terms and Conditions

1. What is the Expedia Price Match?

   If you find the exact same deal online at a lower publicly available price than on Expedia.com.au, we will either match the price (prior to booking on Expedia.com.au) or refund you the difference (within 24 hours of booking on Expedia.com.au).

   To say "Thank You" for making your booking with Expedia.com.au, we will also give you a single-use AU$50.00 coupon for use on Expedia.com.au.

2. Where is the catch?

   It must be an "Apples to Apples" comparison and you must notify us either prior to, or within 24 hours of, your booking with Expedia.com.au.

   Here is our simple checklist for you:

   • Are the travel dates & times identical?
   • Is it exactly the same hotel / flight / activity / car or package?
   • Are the details of the booking identical – such as the change / cancel policy, airline and booking class, room type and hotel extras (breakfast / wifi, etc.)?
   • Is the same payment method used?
   • Are all the taxes and fees included, and is the total price quoted in AUD?
   • Is the competitor offer available to the general public (i.e. not a membership price or discount)?
   • Have you booked this travel item on Expedia.com.au in the last 24 hours or are about to make this booking?
   • Are you able to provide online proof (visible to agent) of all of the above when you call us?
   • Is the booking on Expedia.com.au in your name?
3. What's the next step?

   If you answered YES to all of the above questions, simply call our Customer Service Team on 133810. They will verify your claim and, if successful, they will make your new booking (if applicable) and process a refund to the same credit card for the amount of the difference between the price of the competitor offer and the same offer booked on Expedia.com.au. AU$50.00 coupon will be allocated to your Expedia.com.au account.

   If you have a post pay booking (rental car / certain hotels) we can only process the Price Match refund and allocate the coupon once we have received a receipt of your completed rental/stay.

4. And how does the coupon work?

   Once allocated to your Expedia.com.au account, the single use coupon is valid for a year on a new booking of any Expedia Rate Hotel or Expedia Holiday (as indicated on the website). When applying the coupon, the hotel base rate will be reduced by the coupon amount; taxes/fees or air fares cannot be paid for by the coupon. Any unused amounts will be forfeited.

5. The Fine Print

   Expedia Price Match claims will not be accepted if, in our opinion and acting reasonably, the claim has occurred as the result of a printing, uploading or other error or is made fraudulently or in bad faith. Expedia may modify or discontinue the Expedia Price Match or restrict its availability to any person, at any time, without prior notice or liability to you, except where excluding or limiting liability is prohibited by law. The terms that are in effect at the time of your booking will determine your eligibility under the Expedia Price Match. The failure by Expedia to enforce any provision of these Terms & Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
