When to go
Although prices don’t fluctuate too wildly, most visitors come to Los Angeles
from July through October. To shave a few dollars off your hotel bill, visit in
November or December; rates also dip in March and early June, before US school
vacations.

fashion, cruise Robertson for decor, or scout Rodeo for luxury.
Life’s a beach: Visit funky Venice (fire-eating unicyclists, anyone?),
fritter away an afternoon at Santa Monica’s amusement pier, or stroll the strand
in Redondo Beach.

The Metro Red Line subway shuttles visitors between Hollywood and Universal
City in just 5 minutes for around $1.50. Stay in one location, and play in another with
ease.
