Discover Nadi
What to expect
When to go
Like anywhere in Fiji, Nadi is ideal almost all year round and is a gateway to many other Fijian destinations. This
little town, popular with visitors, located on the western side of Viti Levu will provide views of the mountainous
region (known as the Nausori Highlands) to the east. The Winter dry season is great for driving, when roads are dry,
and most sights are within a few hours drive.
Must see sights
Day trip to one of the nearby Islands, like Kadavu for scuba diving, or Yanuca for bountiful surfing, or beautiful Denarau.
Experience traditional culture at The Hindu shrine, Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple, Viseisei Village the foundation village of Fijian heritage, and Navala Village which features authentic thatched roof homes.
Make a day of it to Nausori Highlands, or down the Nadi River or take the ferry to Mamanuca island and jungle locations.
Insider tips
The best way to tour Fiji is by car—so book a rental and visit the many beautiful locales, all within a few hours from most Nadi hotels.
Cameras are taboo on the Hindu Temple ground, and shoes are taken off before entering the Temple.
You can still check your e-mail in Nadi at one of several local internet cafes .
