Discover the Coral Coast
What to expect
When to go
The Coral Coast on Fiji's largest island, Viti Levu, can be enjoyed at almost any time of the year. The cooler drier winter is
popular with most visitors. Sigatoka is the region's main town, and offers interesting attractions year round. To experience
fewer tourists, plan your journey for the wet season.
Must see sights
See the winding Sigatoka River scenery, and sail along on a Bilibili bamboo raft for Sigatoka cave exploring.
Take in the ancient Tavuni Hill Fort display of artifacts from Fiji's ritualistic past, or visit the Sigatoka Sand dunes, where an ancient buried settlement of the Lapita people is of archaeological significance.
Board the only passenger train in Fiji, powered by a sugar cane train engine, for a journey to Natadola Beach for lunch.
