Maki

Wappa-meshi, rice topped with meat or fish -- chicken, eel, salmon, and salmon eggs, among other items -- and steamed in a bamboo basket, is the specialty at this small, lovely restaurant with blond-wood tables and white walls. The sashimi; braised yams, daikon, and pork; and freshwater eel on rice in a lacquer box are also recommended. Everything is served on beautiful tableware, from the smallest sunomono (salad) to a big assortment of sushi. Maki stocks an impressive assortment of sakes, which it serves in exquisite decanters. The staff is well informed and can help you pick the best one for you.
