Vecchia Locanda Sit outside in summer at this eatery on a tiny pedestrian street near Largo Argentina, and the world seems a better place. Vecchia Locanda has been in the restaurant business for more than 70 years and has managed to keep its antique charm intact. Well-executed carbonara and amatriciana are great staples, but more inventive items such as pasta with asparagus, clams, and shrimp, and beef strips with eggplant and cherry tomatoes are also good. The wine list is impressive for such a small restaurant, and service is extremely courteous.
