Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson

An exciting addition to the city's photography scene, this 1913 artists' atelier was restored and opened in 2003 by the French photographer Cartier-Bresson as a showcase for young contemporary photographers. Be sure to go up to the top floor to see a small gallery of Cartier-Bresson's own work. There, too, you can consider the deep roots photography has in Montparnasse; it was in these small streets that great experimenters like Louis Daguerre and Man Ray lived and worked. COST: EUR4.
