Inaki Aizpitarte, originally from the Basque region, opened this hip restaurant on a street known for its role in the film Amélie. Happily, La Famille is worth visiting for what it brings to the plate, not the screen. The spare space attracts the bobo (bohemian bourgeois) neighbors who are bringing a new energy to Montmatre. Aizpitarte's globetrotting menu might include pan-fried foie gras with miso sauce or chocolate custard with fiery Basque peppers. On the last Sunday of every month a tasting menu is served.
