There is a lot to like about this bistro, from the Art Nouveau facade and the warm and spacious Asia-meets-Africa decor (lots of dark wood and little pots of spices on each table) to the polished service and mouthwatering food. Drop in for the bargain EUR14 lunch (the plat du jour with a glass of wine and coffee), or go for à la carte dishes such as scallops with balsamic vinegar or blood pudding flavored with cocoa. Tongue-in-cheek comfort-food desserts tout such ingredients such as Chupa Chups lollipops and sugary cereal. Not everything works, but the chef deserves credit for his adventurous approach.
