Le Coq au Vin

Chef-owner Louis Perrotte is something of a culinary god in Orlando, but he doesn't let it go to his head. He operates a modest little kitchen in a small house in south Orlando. Perrotte's homey eatery is usually filled with locals who appreciate the lovely traditional French fare: braised chicken with red wine, mushrooms and bacon, bronzed grouper with toasted pecans and Long Island duck with green peppercorns. The menu changes seasonally, but the house namesake dish is always available and excellent. For dessert, try the Grand Marnier soufflé or the exquisite crème brûlée.
