Bistro de Paris

The great secret in the France pavilion -- and, indeed, in all of Epcot -- is the Bistro de Paris, upstairs from Les Chefs de France. The sophisticated menu reflects the cutting edge of French cooking; representative dishes include roasted rack of venison with a black-pepper sauce, pan-seared lobster served in its own bisque, and seared scallops with black truffle potato puree. Escargot, as an appetizer, is a relative bargain at $10. Save room for the Grand Marnier-flambéed crepes. Come late, ask for a window seat, and plan to linger to watch the nightly Epcot light show. Moderately priced French wines are available by the glass.
