Inside a former auto repair shop and gas station, Wildfires is the latest addition to the trendy dining district growing in Thornton Park, just east of downtown and near Lake Eola. St. Louis ribs, rubbed with spices and slowly roasted, are the specialty here. The ribs are both spicy and tender; a half-rack with a couple sides, like pasta salad and barbecued beans, is $10. Another good choice is the chicken, rib, and pork sampler plate. If you're not a red-meat person, try the wood-grilled salmon with cilantro lime vinaigrette.
