Boma

Boma takes Western-style ingredients and prepares them with an African twist. The dozen or so walk-up cooking stations have such entrées as spit-fired roast pork, durban spiced roasted chicken, malabu pepper steak and banana leaf wrapped seafood (Sea Bass, or Salmon). The zebra bones dessert is chocolate mousse covered with white chocolate and striped with dark chocolate. Picky kids have their own chicken-tender, mac-n-cheese, spaghetti station. Adventurous kids can venture into new taste territories. All meals are prix fixe ($24 for adults; $10 for children 3-11). The South African wine list is outstanding. Priority seating reservations are essential if you are not a guest at the hotel. Reservations essential.
