Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Birthplace Yorba Linda's main claim to fame is the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Birthplace, final resting place of the 37th president and his wife, Pat. Exhibits illustrate the checkered career of Nixon, from heralded leader of the free world to beleaguered resigner. You can listen to the so-called smoking-gun tape from the Watergate days, among other recorded material. Life-size sculptures of foreign world leaders, gifts Nixon received from international heads of state, and a large graffiti-covered section of the Berlin Wall are on display. You can also visit Pat Nixon's tranquil rose garden and the small farmhouse where Richard Nixon was born in 1913. Don't miss the bookstore, selling everything from birdhouses to photos of Nixon with Elvis. COST: $5.95.
