Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney is a 20-acre, nongated promenade of dining, shopping, and entertainment that connects the Disneyland Resort hotels and theme parks. Restaurant-nightclubs here include the House of Blues, which spices up its Delta-inspired ribs and seafood with various live music acts on an intimate two-story stage. At Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen you can dig into New Orleans-style food and music. Sports fans can gravitate to ESPN Zone, a sports bar-restaurant-entertainment center with American grill food, interactive video games, and 175 video screens telecasting worldwide sports events. There's also an AMC megaplex movie theater with stadium-style seating, which plays the latest blockbusters and, naturally, kids' flicks. Promenade shops sell everything from Disney goods to fine art. COST: Free. Daily 7 AM-2 AM; hrs at shops and restaurants vary.
