Museum of Modern Art Design Store Although the museum's collection will be in Queens until late 2004 or early 2005, all of its shops will remain at their current locations. The Design Store is a hoard of good, eye-catching design: Frank Lloyd Wright furniture reproductions, vases designed by Alvar Aalto, and lots of clever trinkets. The bookstore (11 W. 53rd Sts., between 5th and 6th Aves., PHONE: 212/708-9700; Subway: E, V to 5th Ave./53rd St.) adjacent to the museum has posters (from Mondrian to van Gogh's Starry Night) and a wide-ranging selection of books. The downtown branch combines most of the virtues of the two, although its book selection is smaller.
