Oscar Wilde Bookshop Opened in 1967, this was the first gay and lesbian bookstore in the city and is now the oldest existing one in the country, having weathered a close brush with closure in 2003. It's just steps from the site of the Stonewall riots. The shelves hold everything from cultural studies and biographies to fiction and first editions by the likes of Djuna Barnes and Paul Monette.
