The upscale hacienda look of this popular restaurant is an appropriate setting for some of the best Mexican food in the city. Begin with a delicious fresh mango margarita, then order such flavorful dishes as a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with seafood and manchego cheese, or mole poblano -- a grilled chicken breast covered with mole sauce and accompanied by cilantro rice and plantains, or lobster and shrimp marinated in adobo seasoning and paired with roasted corn puree and spicy watercress salad. Service can be a little rushed at times, especially on a busy weekend night. Reservations essential. Subway: 6 to 68th St.-Hunter College.
