This is the Brooklyn branch of the SoHo original. The menu appears standard but it's not. Instead of the usual fried calamari, exceptionally tender squid is lightly sautéed in olive oil and garlic and served like a savory pudding in a Japanese rice bowl. Sweetbreads cleverly mix with shiitakes. As Eric and Bruce Bromberg's empire slowly grows, so does its quality. Reservations not accepted.
