Melrose Avenue Melrose Avenue has something of a split personality. From North Highland to Sweetzer, it's a bohemian-punk shopping district, where vintage-resale oasis Wasteland, rock-star clothiers Serious, and even a shop selling bones (called Necromance) attract the alternative set. On upper Melrose Avenue and Melrose Place, the shopping scene is more upscale and design-y; shops include such pricey boutiques as Agent Provocateur, Betsy Johnson, Miss Sixty, and the mecca for celebrity stylists, Fred Segal. |
