Actually, Petticoat Lane doesn't exist; this Sunday clothing and fashion market, one of London's most entertaining diversions, centers on Middlesex Street, then sprawls in several directions, including northeast to Brick Lane and Spitalfields. Between them, the crammed streets turn up items of dubious parentage (CD players, bikes, car radios), alongside clothes (vintage, new, and just plain tired), jewelry, books, underwear, antiques, woodworking tools, bed linens, jars of pickles, and outright junk.
