Camden Lock Market Actually several markets gathered around a pair of locks in the Regent's Canal, and it was once very pretty. Now that more stalls and a faux warehouse have been inserted into the surrounding brick railway buildings, the haphazard charm of the place is largely lost, although the variety of merchandise is mind-blowing: vintage and new clothes (design stars have been discovered here), antiques and junk, jewelry and scarves, candlesticks, ceramics, mirrors, and toys. Underneath it's really a date spot for hip teens. The neighborhood is bursting with shops, cafés, and other markets, and it's a whole lot calmer, if stall-free, at midweek. Tube: Camden Town. Address London NW1, EnglandOpening hours Shops Tues.-Sun. 9:30-5:30, stalls weekends 8-6
