Thank goodness for this place -- now you can have a civilized meal during your South Bank arts encounter. It's run independently from the Royal Festival Hall, with remarkably low prices considering it commands the greatest river view in town (apart from OXO Tower). There are occasional mistakes here, and generally the more British the dish, the more reliable it proves to be: veal, skate wings, pecan-and-banana pudding -- all these are delicious.
