A Hampstead landmark for as long as anyone can remember, this smoky, dingy, uncomfortable café is lovable and cheap, and always packed. You can get grills, sandwiches, cakes, fry-ups, plus anything (beans, eggs, kippers, mushrooms) on toast -- nothing whatsoever healthy or fashionable.
