Spaniards Inn Another historic, oak-beam pub on Hampstead Heath? Yes, but this one has a gorgeous rose garden, scene of the tea party in Dickens's Pickwick Papers. Dick Turpin, the highwayman, frequented the inn; you can see his pistols on display. Shelley, Keats, and Byron hung out here, as did Dickens. It's extremely popular, especially on Sunday, when Londoners take to the heath in search of fresh air. Tube: Hampstead. Address Spaniards Rd., London NW3, EnglandPhone 020/8731-6571
