Battleship Missouri Memorial

The USS Missouri saw action from World War II to the Persian Gulf War, and on these decks the agreement for Japanese surrender to end World War II was signed. The famed battleship, now moored about 1,000 feet from the Arizona, serves as a museum and interactive educational center. Tours start at the visitor center located between the USS Arizona Memorial and the USS Bowfin Memorial. A trolley transports you to the navy's Ford Island, where you can board the "Mighty Mo," take a tour, and see how 2,400 sailors lived and worked together in the shadow of its 16-inch guns. Tours range from a deluxe "Captain's Tour" to a behind-the-scenes "Explorer Tour" that explores the battleship's fire and machinery rooms. Come dressed in attire suitable for climbing up and down the ship's ladders. COST: $16 general admission, guided tours $22-$49.
