Waikiki Historic Trail

Take a walk back in time to the Waikiki of yesteryear along this scenic 2-mi route. Twenty "bronze surfboard" markers provide not only a written description of the sights along the way, but also include photography taken at those very same spots over the last 100 years. You'll get an intimate glance into Waikiki's history as the playground of royalty, celebrities, and generations of tourists. Begin your tour of the trail at the standing bronze surfboard next to the Duke Kahanamoku statue. Free 90-minute guided walking tours begin at the statue at 9 AM weekdays and 4:30 PM Saturday. COST: free.
