Name seemingly to the contrary, Wagamama is no Italian restaurant run by a large-bottomed matriarch, but rather a slick and minimalist London-based chain re-creating the centuries-old traditions of Japanese ramen shops. It's noodly, fresh, fast, and fairly cheap. Just fill out a choice-rich menu and hand it to one of the waitstaff, and moments later they'll be sliding a heartening bowl of noodly goodness supplemented with your choice of meats, fish, and vegetables under your nose. Further empowerment comes in the form of fruit and/or vegetable shakes.
