There are many nooks and crannies for the romantic-minded to hide in and a general historical ambience that fuses nicely with the evocative square on which Lorreinen is situated (and where the terrace is set up during the summer). The reasonably priced and conscientiously prepared French-based Continental menu usually plays it safe but can also surprise with a white fish smothered with fennel and served with an all-herb salsa, or a more seasonal dish that stews a venison steak to succulence with the aid of pears, endive, and red wine.
