Warner en Consorten (Warner and Company), formed in 1993, is an interdisciplinary concept of street theater, where sculpture, dance, physical acting (such as mime), and music collide and challenge the concepts of theater, urban life, and reality. The results are often delightfully, Dada-istically hilarious. Public space is the starting point -- streets are analyzed, crowd behavior is studied, passersby are observed. During the winter months, the company finds abandoned warehouses and factories for venues; in the summer, city streets are the "theaters."
